Referral Program

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: [July 30, 2026]

These terms govern participation in the L.I.T Marketing Referral Program. By submitting a referral through our referral form, you ("Referrer," "you") agree to the terms below. Please read them before submitting a referral.

1

How the program works

You introduce us to a prospective client. If that person or brand ("Referral") signs on with L.I.T Marketing as a retainer client, you're paid a referral fee once their first invoice clears. That's it — no minimums, no caps on how many people you refer.

2

Who can participate

  • Anyone 18 or older may participate as a Referrer, whether or not you're a current or former L.I.T client.
  • You cannot refer yourself, a business you own or co-own.
  • L.I.T Marketing reserves the right to decline any referral or participant at our discretion, including if we believe the referral relationship was misrepresented.
3

What counts as a valid referral

A referral qualifies for a payout only if all of the following are true:

  • It's submitted through our official referral form before we've had any prior contact or conversation with that person or brand.
  • The referral was not already an active lead, prospect, or past client in our records at the time of submission.
  • The referral goes on to sign a retainer agreement with L.I.T Marketing.
  • The referral's first invoice is issued and paid in full.

Submitting a referral does not guarantee that person becomes a client, and no fee is owed unless every condition above is met.

4

Referral fee

The referral fee is 15% of the referral's first month's package amount, based on the package price as invoiced (before any one-time add-ons, ad spend passthroughs, or partner services such as branding or web development, which are excluded from this calculation).

The fee is a one-time payment tied to the first month only — it does not apply to renewals, ongoing retainer months, or any future work with that client.

5

When and how you're paid

Once the referral's first invoice has cleared, we'll confirm with you directly and issue payment within 3 business days via Zelle, PayPal, or direct deposit (whichever is agreed upon referee and L.I.T Marketing).

You're responsible for providing accurate payment details. Payment may be delayed if we're missing the information needed to send it to you.

6

Tax reporting

If your total referral payouts from L.I.T Marketing exceed $600 in a calendar year, U.S. tax law requires us to collect a completed Form W-9 from you before issuing further payouts, and to report those payments to the IRS via Form 1099. We'll reach out directly if this applies to you. You're responsible for reporting referral income according to your own tax obligations.

7

Confidentiality

Any information you learn about L.I.T Marketing's clients, pricing, packages, or business practices through this program is confidential. Please don't share client names, rates, or deliverables outside of what's needed to make an introduction.

8

Changes to the program

We may update, pause, or end the Referral Program at any time, including the fee percentage, payout timeline, or eligibility rules. Changes won't affect a referral that already met the qualifying conditions in Section 3 before the change was made. Continued participation after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

9

No employment or partnership

Participating in this program doesn't make you an employee, agent, contractor, or partner of L.I.T Marketing. You're not authorized to make offers, sign agreements, or speak on our behalf when making an introduction.

10

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
